Congratulations to Dr. Kathleen Dooling
at Peel Public Health!

Kathleen DoolingDr. Kathleen Dooling was selected as the 2014​ Don Low Communications Fellowship recipient this July. Her commitment and demonstrated leadership in public health exemplifies the intention, spirit and purpose of the Fellowship.

In her current position as Associate Medical Officer of Health at Peel Public Health, Dr. Dooling works on a variety of challenging public health initiatives, providing urgent risk communication to several stakeholders throughout the culturally diverse region of Peel.

She frequently delivers vital information to the medical community, schools, government, the media and the public. Given the diverse scope of her position, she relies on her communications skills in her daily work to meet the unique challenges that she is often presented with.  

Dr. Dooling will use her Fellowship to attend a medical journalism course at the George Washington University School of Medicine. As part of her coursework, she will spend spring 2015 as a medical journalist at ABC News. The Fellowship will deepen her knowledge​ of communications and support her role as a key spokesperson for Peel Public Health.​
